Portable TABS coming to the USA? by son_of_flubber
Is portable TABS (non 2020 compliant ADS-B-out) coming to the USA in 2020? This unit looks a lot like portable TABS. https://uavionix.com/products/skyecho/ It also implements FLARM, and I think that would need to be disabled in the USA. The price point looks right.

Sky Full of Heat book by Sebastian Kawa - update by Paul Remde
Hi, Today I received the first proof of the soon to be released book "Sky Full of Heat" by Sebastian Kawa. The proof is nearly perfect, so the book should be out in large quantities in a week or 2 or 3. I have only skimmed through the book, but it looks very, very interesting. I anticipate...

XC Soar and iPaq 310? by Brad[_2_]
I would like to see the XC Soar guys jump on this and port their XC Soar program to the iPaq 310. I have been mulling over the GPS/NAV solutions for the HP-24 and this looks very promising. I think perhaps the Tasman with the data module, in conjunction with the 310/XC Soar would be a good choice...

(USA) Handicapping... by Bob
Just noticed the Region 6 North contest going on at the moment and wondered how they work the handicaps for a combined 15M $ STD Class contest. It appears as though all the 15M are handicaped at 1.0 and the Std at something else. How is it done officially? Bob

Lange Flugzeugbau now Lange Aviation and back in business by Markus Graeber
Looks like they recapitalized and set up a new entity to buy up all the assets from the old business. Good news, would have been a pity to see such an innovative and well made glider disappear: http://www.lange-flugzeugbau.de/htm/english/news/news_01_11_2007.html It suggests that all the key...
