Low altitude paragliding death by John Doe[_4_]
Looks similar to the messing around that the powered paragliding (paramotoring) guys on YouTube do while advertising their business. The clown had no chance to recover and slammed hard into the ground. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XDOjrFkd7Sk&feature=related

Follow up on Microair distortion by Andy[_1_]
In 2004 there was a discussion of the fact that some glider radios were very distorted when being received by the Microair 760. At that time I suspected that off frequency transmitters, combined with the a narrow IF passband of the Microair were causing the problem. I no longer think this is...

What was displayed...the price quoted and delivery of SN? I have SparrowHawk # 15 for sale. It's loaded with features, no accident history, and ready to deliver. It is licensed Experimental, so insurance is available. I love the ship, but it needs to be sold. Make offer. Fred...

Navworx ADS-B Transceiver gets FCC Authorization by Mike Schumann
It looks like the low cost ADS-B UAT logjam has been broken: http://www.aopa.org/advocacy/articles/2010/100721navworx.html?WT.mc_id=100723epilot&WT.mc_sect=gan While the price is somewhat higher than I would like to see, it's competitive with buying a transponder coupled with a Zaon PCAS XRX. ...

Powered paragliding "paramotoring"? by John Doe[_4_]
Of course it is dangerous, but it looks cool as a cucumber. I am talking about just using a backpack propeller and a paraglider. Lots of videos on YouTube, takeoff looks fantastic. The most common short name for powered paragliding is "paramotoring"? Thanks.

Which glider club ran over the cop? by Karen
Seriously, is this a hangar story or did it really happen? (From Judith Mole's Blog in the UK last Sat. 17, July) "Whilst we’d been chatting, we heard the story of the policeman who drove onto the sailplane field last year (to introduce himself, he was new to the area) and managed to get in the...

Capn' Carol posts daily, and sometime more, to her diary at http://www.sssa.org.za/wgc2010_Hungary/diary.htm . With a strong team and as many JS1s as allowed by current rules this should make interesting reading. Zulu - are you reading this?

Getting tired of The DigiWX posts by SF
What would drive someone to put this kind spiteful drivel on a soaring group? Google is a pretty professional organization, they have to have way to block this individual from continuing this tirade of his. Does any one know someone that works at Google or how to get in touch with them? There...
