Leroy Tire
Does anyone know what type of seal exists where the dump valve actuator
goes through the root rib of the wing on a LAK-17? I have water seeping
here. On the root rib I see a round plate with 3 screws that the
actuator rod goes through and assuming there is a seal behind it.
Thanks in...

No ballast contest by
Martin[_5_]
Here's a new guy question. The Region 4 South contest at New Castle
says it's a no ballast contest. Why is that? Is this common?
Thanks in advance

WX forecasts by
Dan[_6_]
We've had a pretty crummy soaring season this year in So Cal.
But has anyone else noted that the WX predictions from XC Skies and
Blipmaps seem to be too optimistic?
Sure seems that way to me.
Anyone else noticed that?

Easy. They will ask the bird for detailed flight logs since the date

Blather aside, I'm thinking that the tool in question is a waviness
gauge such as the one I made for checking plugs and molds:

No question that within this sport are numerous talented software
folks who could jointly develop some code for this.
We're at the point where basically everyone should...

My glider, a Speed Astir, has static ports about halfway from the
trailing edge of the wing and the stabilizer. It also has some static
ports just ahead of the fattest part of the fuselage. The forward ports

Peschges VP 6 --V by

Hello
I am still using a VP 6 but it seems to have lost it's separate GPS
receiver which is a dinosaur anyway.
The set seems to still work alright only it does not get any Satelites
to play with etc.
I was wondering whether any body has tried to drive it with a
Volkslogger? The VP 6 supplies its...

Does anyone have details?
Was wondering if it would be possible to modify some of ours - there are
a number of relatively low time L13s in this part of the world.

OK this is kind of silly but the the actual size of the PowerFLARM

think the renderings on the PowerFLARM web site makes the unit look a
bit larger that it really is.
Anyhow being a visual kind of person (and somebody who...
