Hello, I am hoping someone might be able to identify the squadron an
aircraft serial number 22-4621 and the letter F painted above it which
appears on a photo I have come across. Two B29s staged at Tarakan,

Last Operational P-51 by
Joe Landeros
I was stationed at Edwards AFB with the Army from 1976 till 1983 when
the last operational P-51 was still flying there. I might have been
the last "regular" G.I. to have worked on 990. Before Col. Boyle took
off with it, I applied a commemorative plaque on one of the main
landing gear struts. ...

If those pesky Esperanto give us too much trouble our US Army is ready. All
they have to do is run off a bunch of copies of US Army field manual FM
301-101-1 "Esperanto: The Aggressor Language." You can get your own copy. Go
to http://carlisle-www.army.mil/usamhi/ click on the "Collecton Online"...

AF Academy finished by
Joey Bishop
"Seven 20- and 21-year-old cadets were ticketed by police for drinking
alcohol in an off-campus hotel room early Saturday with two young
women, aged 16 and 18. "
As far as I'm concerned, the AF Academy has failed it's mission, and the
tax dollars should be shifted to the Army and Naval Academies. ...

RAF C-17 In Minneapolis by
John A. Weeks III
In driving past the Minneapolis/St. Paul airport on Saturday,
I spotted an unusual aircraft in an unusual location. A large
4 engine high-wing cargo plane was parked at the Humphrey
passenger terminal. Since the plane had winglets, it was a
C-17.
The unusual thing was the markings. A large blue...

Anyone familiar with Whiteman AFB? by
John A. Weeks III
Is anyone in the group familiar with Whiteman AFB? Specifically,
I'd like to photograph the B-47 that is on static display on base.
Anyone know where the B-47 is currently located? Can it be seen
from a gate area or from any locations off base? Getting onto
Whiteman is difficult, and I'd like to...

Breaking News - 9/11 Flight Confrimed by
John A. Weeks III
Since days after 9/11, there has been a story floating around
about a flight that carried a group of Saudi natives out of
the US on 9/13/2001 while all air traffic was supposedly shut
down. The Bush white house has denied that this flight had
taken place. The FBI and FAA still maintain that this...

Anyone Know Where The C-74 Is Located? by

I am doing some research on the C-74 and C-124 Globemasters.
The information that I have found so far indicates that C-74
s/n 42-65406 survived scrapping and was displayed at Kelly AFB
at one time. Now that Kelly is closed, I understand that many
of the display aircraft were moved. In speaking...

Watching the Ultralight tow planes at the Finger Lakes Aerosport Park

Labor Day Week fly-in, it occurred to me that WWI fighters could have
solved their gun aim/synchronization problems easily by adopting a
pusher prop configuration. Wondering why this...
