Anthony W
I got an eMail from Verizon this morning saying that they are dropping
their news server.
I'm not going to pay for a subscription to a newsgroup service for 2
groups so my question to the group is: what eMail list would you
recommend to replace this group?
I'm already on the Chuggers list but...

Tail flapper failure by
Veeduber
to All:
My tail stopped flapping yesterday. I don't know exactly when. When I checked
it around nine a.m. it was flapping okay. I was in & out of the shop several
times during the day I could hear the motor but I didn't look to see if it was
still flapping. When I checked it about ten p.m....

Any suggestions on how to remove waterproofing by
Roger
I'll try again,
Any suggestions on how to remove a good dose of waterproofing (non
silicon) from a fiberglass and resin (vinyl Ester) lay-up?
Can it be done safely and with no lasting, or long term aftereffects?
This is inside the horizontal stab where strength is pretty important.

Nut/thread securing compound by

Does anyone know what compound is used to secure the nuts and threads on
aviation engines?
Sounds like you're talking about inspection lacquer.
It's not really a securing compound, it just
chips and flakes if the material moves.
Wicks has it (www.wicksaircraft.com),...

Next Time I Do Fabric Work on an Airplane by
Larry Smith
I'll use Airtech, not Stits, now known as Polyfiber. The latter is a great
process, don't get me wrong. It's just that Airtech is better, simpler,
easier and produces superior results. *And* it lasts and lasts. Take a
look at a 10- or 15-year-old Airtech cover and you'll see why.
As for...

Torque for prop bolts by
Scott
Quick question for the group. When setting the torque on prop bolts (I
have bolts with nuts), if the hole for the cotter pin doesn't line up
with the castleated nut at the proper torque setting, is it better to go
tighter or looser to get the hole lined up. My gut instinct says
tighter,...
