Entfernung zu VOR bestimmen by Klaus Wagner

Rental reccs near Atlanta, GA by Jeff Gostin
Good day! I'm going to be visiting Atlanta, GA at the end of the month, and am interested in taking an aerial tour of the area. For reference, I'll be staying near Georgia Tech. I'm looking for recommendations concerning an FBO to rent from and an instructor to fly with. My preference is to rent a...

6 Flags St. Louis? by Jay Honeck
Would Spirit of St. Louis or Creve Coeur airport be closer to the theme park? Can anyone recommend a decent "suites" hotel to stay at that's handy to the park? Is there any kind of decent transportation to/from the park? Thanks! -- Jay Honeck

Headwinds, always by Paul kgyy
I just returned from an 8-day tour of the midwest. This was a 6-leg circular route west to Des Moines from Chicago, then up to the Dakotas, back through Duluth, Green Bay. We mostly flew at 7000 ft. We had 20-30 knot headwinds on 5 of the 6 legs and never once a tailwind.

Online Garmin Video Training by the FAA by Marco Leon
Got this in an email. Not bad. And it's free! http://aea.faa.gov/aea200/safety/Garmin.htm The FAA Safety folks (at least here in NY) offer some pretty good seminars but this seems nice enough to post here. Veteran Garmin 430/530 may find it basic though. Marco Leon

Renter's Insurance? by Mortimer Schnerd, RN
How many of you guys carry renter's insurance? I never have in the past but I'm older and wiser now and have been thinking about it. Specifically, that offered through AOPA. How much hull insurance is necessary? I'm pretty sure the FBO insures their aircraft but surely there's a deductible I...

Rec.Aviation NorthEast Mini Fly-in by [email protected]
The weather was perfect for the Rec.Aviation Northeast Mini Fly-in this morning. Rick and I left KPOU at 10:40am and landed at Skyacres 44N just before 11:00am. Several planes were leaving so we were able to tie down just outside of the Windsock Cafe. I went inside the restaurant and immediately...

Wondering about Beechcraft V-tail Baron/Two engine Bonanza? by tigglys
We have a little toy model that looks like a V-tail Baron. Was such a thing ever made? It doesn't quite look like the Super "V" because there is another set of windows. (We were getting ready to list it on e-bay and aren't sure what to call it.) The toy is a Sky Skipper by Gabriel/Hubley. Any...
