Whatever happened to "Ivan the Bear"? by
Bill Burns
I used to enjoy reading his Russian aviation articles, and always looked for
his postings but I have not seen them for many months. Everytime I log onto
this group, I sort the messages by "From" to look for his postings.
Anyone know where he went or maybe he's changed his "From" name and I've
never...

earliest turbine powered helicopter? by
Charles Gray
When was the earliest turbine powered helicopter? I khnow that the
turbine is far more effective than an IC engine.
Also, what was the delay? Was it just a matter of nobody really got
around to it, or were there power/reliability issues with the
turbines?

Udvar-Hazy annex to Smithsonian A&S Museum by
Jeb Hoge
Perhaps this is a sermon to the choir, but I dropped by the UH annex
last Monday (MLK Day, off from work) and spent a good couple of hours
just wandering around on my own, marveling at the place. It's
HUGE...realistically speaking, the curators have probably only filled
2/3 of the floor space...

Apology to Tarver by
ArtKramr
Marron has been compared to Tarver on this NG. Tarver at his worst is way above
Marron in every way. I think all those who compared Mike Marron to Tarver owe
Tarver an apology.
