Ethanol by Dave
Where is it dictated that certain states/cities require ethanol in their auto fuel? I've been to the EPA website and get 1000 hits on ethanol, but none which show me the requirements. Thanks Dave

Ethanol Free Car Gas by [email protected]
I wanted to start a thread based on my recent experience with car gas. I'm not out in Ada, OK, and got worried when I saw that the local Wal- Mart gas station sells ethanol gas. This is no good for Anna, so I did some research with my coworkers and found 2 gas stations in Ada that sell ethanol free...

exhaust manifold steel by Morgans[_2_]
"Stealth Pilot" wrote I presume that you are asking about exhausts since stainless is not used in most of GA aircraft at all. Correct me if I'm wrong, but are many firewalls not made of stainless, or layers of stainless and other heat resistant fibers? --...

Anyone doing a recovering project? by Lou
I'm looking for a piece of used fabric. As strange as this may sound, I want to study it. If anyone has a piece from 14"x14" to 16x16 (or there abouts) could you contact me? I'm curious about how this stuff works. Lou

Cherokee 140 Oil Temp Creeping Up by Mike Spera
I have owned this Cherokee 140 since 1994. I have logged over 1000 hours in it through the original and the now installed overhauled engine. Oil temps were usually at 180 degrees (both engines)when OATs were between 50-80 degrees or so. It would read 1 needle mark higher when it got to be 95+...

Anyone building new open cockpit planes? by Charles Talleyrand
Is anyone manufacturing new open cockpit aircraft? I'm aware of the Waco Classic Aircraft Corporation, which makes new WACOs, but that's it. Is the WACO the only new built open cockpit aircraft around? -Charles Talleyrand

High time Bo A36 anyone? by Matt Whiting
I'm wondering if anyone here owns a Bonanza A36 (or any Bo with a similar wing structure) with high airframe time (10,000 hours)? I ask because my local A&P who rebuilds a lot of wrecked airplanes knows of an A36 that had a nose gear collapse and has been collecting dust in a hangar for the...
