King Avionics Repair by [email protected]
I have a King KLN90B and it's knobs have gone haywire. I think it has to go back to King for a rebuild. Is there any way I can get an RMA number and send this back to King or do I have to go through an avionics shop?

Traded Up by Mike Granby
Well, the Warrior finally got too small for the family (or rather for all the equipment that seems to accompany two small children) so I've traded up to a 1980 Saratoga... http://www.mikeg.net/plane/n8096J It used to be a turbo, but that was removed when LoPresti put a factory engine in it 550...

What to buy...what to buy? by Carl J. Hixon
Okay, I always love reading everyone's thoughts on these types of questions so I'll post one for myself. Well, my wife finally gave me thumbs up to buy a plane after taking a 6-year break from flying. Well, I'm pretty conservative and worry about losing my job, etc. But darn it, it is about...

Bouncing ammeter hand on 76 Warrior by Leo
Usually the hand on my ammeter bounces for a few moments while taxing and then settles down at about 20 amps. Yesterday it continued to be erratic with a few calm moments with the hand indicating 10 amps. The ammeter has 1976 stamped on the back. Do these things ever wear out? Is there any way...

Glue question by [email protected]
Hello, I've to replace the rubber seal between the wing and the fuselage. The problem is that I do not know what glue to use. My mechanic told me to use Bison Tix, this made me to rise an eyebrow because I was once being told not to use that stuff because of corrosion problems.(This was when I was...

A Service ceiling question (Piper 235) by falcon
Karl, your post makes no sense to me. Every landing I make, in my '64 235, is as soft as a baby's ass! True, many people don't know how to land it, as typical Cessna indoctrination won't do! The technique I use, is chop it (throttle), and drop it (steep approach), then a progressive flare to a...

IO360 overhaul costs for a Cardinal? by Jack Allison
Anyone out there willing to share how much an overhaul cost in your Cardinal's IO360? If so, what type of overhaul, from where, and how satisfied are you? In looking at Cardinals, I'm trying to get a handle on how much to plan for when it comes time for a new engine. Hopefully, that would be...

AOPA credit card --- WARNING. by RS
If you have an AOPA/MBNA credit card then you should check the APR on your last statements. MBNA has been raising the APR on AOPA cardholders, even if you pay on time. So check your credit card statements and call AOPA credit card services to complain. And also call MBNA to drop the rate back down.

Alternator Noise by Jonathan Goodish
