SPOT tracking for Senior Nationals? by
mattm[_2_]
Is there a SPOT page tracking various pilots flying this week? I can
see
some individual pilots on the SSA page but last year at various
contests
there were specific pages set up showing the task for the day and
tracking
the pilots that had registered their units.

View US Airport Runways In Google Earth, and More by
2KA
Hi All,
I've made a few smallish improvements on my website, which extracts
airport information from the FAA's NASR database. The changes affect
all of the output file formats.
You can get to my website at http://www.soaringdata.info.

Original Control Towers by
glider[_2_]
Seeking older original towers. Not in operation but still have the
unaltered look from years past.
I know of one in Kingman, AZ. Do I recall that Hutchinson is
original? The old Graham Air Base in Marianna, Florida?
Bicester, England?
Thanks,

Electrical Help? Shielded speaker wires, but still static... by
noel.wade
Any electric gurus out there willing to help?
Ever since re-doing the wiring in my DG-300 last year, I get
intermittent loud static on my radio. It seems to be connected to
whether or not I have ship's power going to my EW MicroRecorder. The
odd thing is that I followed the Becker wiring...

FS: Mountain High Oxygen Regulator by
ZZ
I am selling a Mountain High oxygen regulator model 00REG-1032-00 which
fits on a standard US bottle type CGA-540. It has an "L" shaped
connector on the low pressure side. There is no provision for a meter on
the high pressure side but if your bottle is metered that shouldn't
matter. I bought...

John[_27_]
Having recently purchased a new-to-me sailplane, I have been told
about various forms or paperwork I must have to ensure things are
legal - ranging from the program letter stating where/when I will fly
to operating limitations. There seems to be varying stories on what
exactly is required.

Near mid-air by
Bob
In the Orange County Soaring Association newsletter Zero Sink First
Quarter 2010 there is a good article on a near mid-air. A couple of
things jumped out at me as I was reading the Article.
1. The towplane involved in the near mid-air did not have a radio!
2. The tow path apparently was in the...

The BLACK Book presentation by
Dave Newill
About four or five years ago at the SSA Convention, someone delivered
a presentation on "The BLACK Book" - that set of instructions as to
what to do - whom to call - priorities etc. for a disaster on your
field. Of course the primary concern was an accident on field, but
other topics were...

Trig TT21 Price Increase by
Paul Remde
Hi,
Trig just increased the price of the TT21 transponders. The new price is
$2095 - which is still a very good price for a Mode S transponder with
built-in altitude encoder.
I have 2 units remaining in stock at the old price. Contact me for details.
Best Regards,

WTB: (Not overly) used parachute by
AJM
I'm looking for a good condition, but pre-owned parachute on behalf of
my glider club. Since it will be used by multiple club members, it
needs to be a large canopy size (rated to 240+ pounds). Due to the
muddiness of repacking requirements at over 20 years, I'm looking for
something manufactured...
