Tail dolly for 1-35? by
[email protected]
Hello all - I've decided that I need to build a tail dolly for my 1-35. It occurs to me that maybe someone has one they'd sell and that would save me the trouble...? One from a 1-34 would likely also fit...

Discus 44
My Tail Dolly suffered being run over last week and was fairly well destroyed. Any one out there with a dolly for sale that would work for this ship?

Tail dolly hazard by
Andy[_1_]
The July issue of SSA Soaring magazine has a cover photo that shows at least 3 unattended gliders with the tail dolly left on. In Arizona you'd get an earfull for doing this as it puts any other glider within half a wing span at risk.
Maybe it doesn't matter at soaring sites where there are no...

Tail Dolly Latch by
Roy Bourgeois
Does anybody know a source for tail dolly latches?
Preferably the old Schemp-Hirth screw adjustable ones
(that look suspiciously like ski boot latches).
TIA

Does anyone know of a US source for the standard latch used on most
sailplane dollies. This is the adjustable pull down latch.
Thanks

Tail Dolly Tire by
John Cochrane[_3_]
The tail dolly tire is flat again. The last time this happened, it took me bloody forever to get the tire bead off the rim, and back on again, with bicycle tools. (The wheel is one piece and does not come apart.) Somebody else must have figured this out. Short of taking it to a tire store, who has...

Tail Dolly Tire by
Albert Gold
The casing of the tire on my tail dolly for my Discus B, which I suspect
dates from the time the ship was delivered to it's original owner in
1985, has split along the tread, allowing a bit of the inner tube to
bulge out. The marking on the side wall of the tire, which is of German
origin, says,...

Tail Dolly Tire Pops off Rim by
George Haeh
Last year I replaced the 200 x 50 tube. A few days ago it was low and I pumped it up to 36 or so pounds according to max pressure on the tire.
The next day the tire came off the rim and won't stay on even with much reduced pressure. Can't really complain as could have been on for 20+ years.

Tail Skid Help / Advice by
Ray Lovinggood
Would anyone please provide advice on how to fix a
tail skid problem?
My LS-1d has a rubber tail skid with a hard plastic
wheel. The skid tends to 'creep' around the fuselage
boom sufficiently enough to cause the glider to not
track straight on a paved runway. For takeoffs, I'll
point the...

Hi all you gentle folks, I need to find a tail skid with wheel for
LS-3A. I called most of the dealers selling parts, but nobody have any
available. Does any one have one seating in the garage or some storage
place? Please let me know. Thanks.

Tail Vent? by
jjcact
Has anyone installed a tail vent in a DG-300? Ventilation is weak from
the nose vent (especially since canopy sealed) and it appears air
doesn't have a path out the tail boom. Bulkhead behind pilot has
adequate vent holes into the boom. However, there is a bulkhead at the
fin-boom junction, so it...

Tail Wheels & Tail Booms snapp'n by
POPS
I was warned about the possibility of a glassed on tail wheel possibly being the deciding factor in your tail boon snapping off in a extreme ground loop incident, whereas a skid or wheel that is intended to tear off could be the deciding factor in just the opposite happening.
I've left my...
