skysight monthly subscription by Dave Springford
Can anyone answer this question? When buying a monthly skysight subscription, does it cover 30 days from the date of purchase or does it go to the end of the current month? i.e. if I buy it today, is it good until 31 July or 10 August?

club computer by kinsell
Curt, Next time you're at the airport, could you power cycle the computer underneath the desk in the backroom upstairs? Should start up automatically when power restored. I'm generally available in July to help with wings or whatever. Tnx Dave

washing the parachute's sheepskin pad by [email protected]
The Region One contest last week suffered hot humid weather and we sweated a LOT. The sheepskin (?) snap-on pad on my Softy long 'chute smelled really bad afterwards, so I hand-washed it in cold water with Woolite detergent. It's somewhat better now (takes forever to hang-dry!) but still smells...

Window for PW-5? by Ed A
Our club is looking for a replacement Mecaplex sliding window, with scoop, for the PW-5. This window is somewhat larger than those found on most other gliders ... about 5 X 7.25 inches. Thanks.

Soaring rides in Tahoe by [email protected]
My wife and I are visiting Tahoe this Fall and considering a sailplane ride.. I've found TTSA and Soaring NV, perhaps there are more that offer rides. Anyone know these and can comment on whether one is better than the other or if there's a better option? Thanks.

FREE CHECKRIDES at Marfa, Texas 2017-2018 by Burt Compton - Marfa Gliders, west Texas
Another "Rusty Pilot" has polished up their skills with me at Marfa. Like polishing the tarnish off of your mother's silverware, the renewed shine is worth the effort. Because it was there all along.

Accelerated spin in unexpected direction at low altitude by [email protected]
There are three messages here Your glider may not always enter spin in the same direction you turn or circle. At high bank 50-60 degree in tight turn with high G load your upper wing may stall first. In a split second you can get in accelerated spin in unexpected direction. Scenario could be a new...

Emergency Exit by Dan Marotta
Not to change Dave's thread on leaving the Arcus, I was intrigued by Francois' mention of the slippery cockpit floor in the front cockpit of the Numbus 4DM.* I've noticed that in most single seaters I've flown and I'm happy to say that my Stemme is fully carpeted to the forward bulkhead which...

NZ Glider Hangar Question by [email protected]
Some of you have seen or read about the unique and clever hangar design at Omarama in NZ. On a visit more than a few years ago I examined them. And later I think I saw an article and/or pictures but can’t remember where. As a long retired Structural engineer, I promised to help a prominent...

BGA daily inspection sign off by Jonathan St. Cloud
Thought this should have it's own thread. I had never heard of a DI sign off book, but as the other items I have seen from the BGA, I will incorporate this to my daily flight routine.

Radio Squelch - Electrical Noise Problems by Maxx Ruff[_2_]
I'm trying to sort out electrical noise upsetting many of my clubs radios. I’ve had moderate but inconsistent results with separating radio wiring and use of ferrite beads. Does anyone know of any on-line info / guides to reduce squelch problems? (Especially with regard to squelch being upset...
