If your bored, think about this and notes about Ely, Nv. by
[email protected]
Add up your ten longest flights, you have made in your lifetime of
soaring, and then average them. I was on the phone today with Carl
Herold, IV, he just averaged his 10 longest flights, they averaged
699.4 miles.
699.4 miles (statute) is equal to 1,125.58 kilometers, ok,...

Too many record categories? by
Pat Russell
FAI has so many record categories that they had to restrict the number
of claims a pilot is allowed.
This doesn't make much sense to me.
Jim Sheppe, our alternate delegate, has an interesting blog:

I would like to use the Cambridge 302 and 303 but have questions:
1- does it calculate the glide path above obstacles, e.g. a mountain
is in the way: does the CAI 302/303 see the path going through the
rocks or does it see that there is a challenge?
2- is there a possibility to see the...

Anything new in to combat motion sickness? by
Gary Emerson
Greetings,
I typically suffer from motion sickness early in the season and
sometimes on longer flights if the thermals are rough.
I have one of the electronic wrist devices. It's of some benefit, but
it's not an instant cure, at least for me.
Just curious if there are any new meds or other...

Taper pin or telephone No. by
Fred
We're looking to replace 4 taper pins for an LP-49. If I measured
right, they are an AN386-9-28A and we need 4. Aircraft Spruce says
they do not have them.
Alternatively, we need Jack Laister's phone no.
Can anyone help on this? Thanks. Fred
