Accident or Incident? by
[email protected]
A student pilot does a poor recovery on a botched landing and pushes it
over and gets the prop, forces the nose gear up into the cowling hard
enough to cause some wrinkles in the firewall. Recovers it on the
subsequent follow-thru and taxis in to the ramp where the damage is
discovered.
Accident or...

Gas Theft Nashua (ASH) by
Hank Rausch
Flew into Nashua last Sunday for business, topped off the tanks right
after setting down. When I came back from business on Thursday, found
the right tank down quite a bit. I was going crazy looking for the
leak and checking the drain for seepage, until the line guy pointed out
that he filled the...

1 Fatal ...r.a.h or r.a.p? by
Montblack
I sometimes cut-n-paste crash victim's names into Google.groups.rec.aviation
to see if that person has ever posted here. Too ghoulish?
One person's name, about 6 years ago, came up. IIRC, his family was in the
plane.
With the spate of recent crashes it got me wondering, again: People here...

How much can they take? by
Maxx.
Gentlemen, (& ladies):
As a frequent flyer, I've had my share of rough weather flying &
landings. My most vivid memory is a flight from ORD to IAH a few years
back in Tropical Storm Alison. As we started to touch down, we
suddenly went back up, and were diverted because the control...

12 dead this weekend from GA crashes by
Skylune
6 in South Carolina, 3 in Wisconsin, 3 in Florida (another Cirrus).
A current AOPA focus is to make sure flying remains affordable for owners
of "tired iron."
They awarded a 1974 plane to a lucky winner in Colorado.
On this web page a writer laments that GA planes don't have locking gas
caps.

Virgin Globalflyer finally takes off by
John Doe
Did anyone watch the Globalflyer take off this morning?
I thought I was going to witness a big fireball for a bit there. It took
him forever to get off the ground, much longer than planned. Based on the
wing flex, it sure look like he snatched the yoke back in a desperate
attempt to get off the...
