January Issue of Soaring by
[email protected]
Received my New Year's issue of Soaring yesterday and was disappointed
to see that Rick and Dick were not acknowledged for their fine
performances in the 18M and Open Class Nationals at Uvalde last August.
I also noted that rankings for pilots in those contests (as well as
Regions 4 and 8) were...

Hi,
Newbie pilot in the UK and I want to start (to learn and master!) soaring
and maybe in a couple of years XC.
I think a JSW for my K8b will be useful ? ? comments invited.
But where can I get one from . . .
TIA

FAR question by
Roger Worden
Part 61.39(a)(6) requires training time within 60 days of the application,
in preparation for the practical test. Is there one that says how much time
or how many flights are required? An instructor said yes but did not know
how much and could not find a specific part.
Thanks.

How Many Ways to Launch? by
Les Ward
I am interested in getting a sailplane and wondering what are the
various ways to launch. I am aware of the traditional methods.
Example= Steep downhill runway? Maybe I had too much coffee this morning!!
I live on Kauai and there are no Gliders on this Island at present.

3DTracer software by
David
Can anyone help please with a contact e-mail ID for any member of the
development team who built this excellent product. None of the
Stransim site e-mail links work - mail is always "administratively
rejected" - whatever that means.
Many thanks

So, if were climbing at an average of 300 FPM (5 fps)in a two place

Custom glider trailer builders in the US by
Ken Harry
I'm looking into a new trailer for my KA6. Due to the
large wing root, my guess is it would have to be custom
built. Would anyone have any suggestions on builders,
preferably Central to Eastern half of the country?
Thanks,
Ken
