Collinite #925 Fiberglass Wax by Nick Kennedy[_2_]
I came across a review in Sailing on this wax. Has anyone used it? The review gave it very high marks, but reading into the review they warned of working on too large of a area at once, which indicates to me it may be difficult to work with. It's $19.99 a bottle; quite a bit less than WX Block. Is...

Trailering and rigging tools by [email protected]
A friend from Tucson showed up at Fidel's shop for some work on his Discus2b and it was discovered that the black plastic tool that fits into the end of the wing tip for both rigging as well as trailering had broken in two. I examined the ones I have for my Discus and discovered evidence of...

Splitting the Gliding Magazine Into Single Pages by Tom BravoMike
I have two monitors attached to my PC, one positioned traditionally (landscape, horizontally), the other vertically (portrait), which I find perfect for many jobs. They act as one working area, but you can determine which apps open on which screen. As the "Gliding International" is published...

Circuit diagram required by Soartech
Does anyone know why Google is reposting stuff from 14 years ago?? Note the date on the first post in this thread. This has happened several times lately. Do they think this group doesn't have enough traffic so they pump it up with old posts? What ever the reason, it is weird.

Second Hand Wing Components by Hypo Thebai
We are looking for some components that would have been originally installed in the wings of the following models: DG100, DG200, DG300, DG400, DG500, DG505, LS-4. We are hoping to source the components from a written off (wrecked) glider. Does anybody know of any of these models that has been...

Hapoy Hanuka...another sky drawing in Namibia by Uri Savoray
Rafi Lusky and Avron Tal had a weak day in Namibia, so this is the result: https://www.onlinecontest.org/olc-3.0/gliding/flightinfo.html?dsId=8233419 They wrote: Happy Hanukkah! Part of the holiday symbols is the spinning top (dreidl, sevivon) that children play with during the holiday. Each pane...

New England club in need of a 2-33 by KyleCharles
Our small club lost our 2-33 in a wind storm this season. There might be a replacement candidate, but it is far away and only has a useful load of 380 lbs. Ideally we are hoping to find a good one in the Northeast USA with a higher useful load. Just putting the feelers out. Hoping there might...

ASW-24 brake fluid reservoir by Larry Ruggiero
Anyone have a source for the squarish plastic reservoir? One of our club’s members has one that developed a crack and leaks. It looks to be about 3-4oz capacity. Might otherwise have to adapt something non-standard if it’s not directly replaceable. Thanks... Larry Ruggiero, Carolina Soaring...

Apis M Owners by Frank Sanches
Hello, my name is Frank and I recently bought an Apis M 15m 2005 with 300tt hours and 40 engine hours. The glider is very new. Does someone has any tips to give me about this glider, and if it's easy or some particular thing in flight? I just flew gliders, this is my first motorglider. Thanks...

CallAir A9-B muffler by David Cleveland
Do any of you tow guys out there know where to find a muffler for a CallAir A9-B? I'm pretty sure the exhaust system is the same for either engine that came with the A-9B. It's probably the same for the A9-A as well, but I'm not sure. This particular airplane has a Lycoming IO-540-G1C5.

FAA Warns of GPS Interference From SPOT Personal Tracker by [email protected]
In the July 2019 issue of 'Aviation Safety' on page 22 there is an article regarding an FAA 'Information for Operators' (InFO 19006, May 6, 2019) publication where the FAA has noted that there have been issues with the SPOT interfering with other GPS instruments in aircraft and airplanes. The...

Flatlanders should explore R4S @ BRSS New Castle, VA Site by [email protected]
Dear Flatlanders, Last year, I had the privelege of flying in the R4 South contest in New Castle, VA, spanning over the 3rd week of September. I had little to no previous ridge flying experience, and was even cautioned by one top ranked pilot not to fly here. I'm glad I didn't listen. While this...
