Chart Subscriptions: do they arrive on time? by [email protected]
Hello, I'm thinking about subscribing to all the charts I regularly use - Sectional, TAC, IFR enroute, approach plates - for my area. It's possible to get an OK deal on a subscription - at least, with the cost no greater than buying the things at the local pilot shop. The idea isn't to...

Collision avoidance equipment by samcapt
I have been reading about several low cost alternatives which provide collision avoidance from Aviation Consumer. These devices seem to give a rough estimate of range and the seperation altitude, but not direction. Does anyone know of a portable system that give direction as well?

Collision Avoidance Systems by [email protected]
At the risk of reopening some conversations that were archived from 2004 & mid-2005, does anyone have any up to date experience with either the ProxAlert R5 or Monroy ATD 300 collision avoidance systems? I've got a SureCheck TPAS 110 that I have found to not be very useful due to sporadic readings...

Controlvision's Anywhere vs Airgator's NavAir by Andrew Gideon
Has anyone compared these "head to head" since Controlvision has shifted to XM weather? When they still used the older download system, they'd certain limits that compared poorly to the Airgator product (ie. the size of a "pixel" of weather was much larger). But since Controlvision...

Cool new aviation tool! by [email protected]
Forgive the intrusion -- I hope I'm not out of line with a "new product" announcement. I just wanted to let everyone know about it. After years of changing the oil in his Cessna 182, my buddy and business partner invented a VERY cool gadget for airplane owners. It's also great for a ton of other...
