Rotax vs. Jabiru by
Cal Vanize
As I continue to research, the Zodiac XL and the Sonex are on the short
list. Both offer a couple of engine options including Rotax 912
(variations) and the Jabiru 3300. Real-world performance doesn't seem

Can You Name an "Aircraft-Accessible" Aviation Museum? by
Jay Honeck
In another post about the fabulous new Udvar-Hazy Center (part of the
National Air & Space Museum), frustration with not being able to fly into
this terrific new facility was evident. I personally find it appallingly
ironic that museums which purport to glorify flight are not accessible...

MFI-9HB project plane by
Lin Light
I recently purchased an incomplete MFI-9HB project plane. It was started sometime in the 1980s or 90s. Close to 85% done. Don't have all the drawings but enough I think to finish it. The plane was almost entirely pulled riveted. Looking for anyone that may have working knowledge of a kit version...

reading all I could on the groups and the web about Fetters and this
helicopter.
All I can say is unbelievable....
I have read things tossed back and...

V-8 powered Seabee by

Here's a link to view a successfull conversion from a Franklin powered
Seabee to a Chevy LS-1 powered Seabee.
The conversion has flown over 600 hours. Improvements in climb,
cruise, fuel consumption and takeoff over original. Interestingly, the
conversion makes more power than the Franklin...
