Things to do along the way...or when I get there! by
[email protected]
Do any of you know of a good website to search for good places to fly
and fun things for pilots to do? I'm not just looking for $100
hamburgers, although that's welcome, I'd like more things like aviation
museums and picnic grounds. Any recommendations?
Thanks!
-Caleb

Best route from Charlotte to Lexington by
Eric Bartsch
I'll be flying a VFR-only plane from Charlotte to Lexington next
weekend, and I'm in the process of planning the best route to cross the
mountains. The sectionals should arrive in a couple of days, but in the
mean time I'm looking at the route, and the elevations appear lower in
the route from...

My brother tells me that an old Navy aircraft went down last night near
Cookeville, TN. He said it looked like a Dauntless, but he's not sure. The
Cookeville paper didn't have any details. Anybody got a link to more?

Effectiveness/clarity of throat mic? by
Gary G
In considering my current comms setup, I'm a little curious about
how well the throat mics work.
Since I can get a separate throat mic and use my new in-ear custom
fitted, whooptie-do, gee-whiz-bang headphones, it might
be an interesting option.
Thank you and regards,
Gary G.
