Where in the world is JayH... by
Jack Allison
....why, at the end of runway 27 in Lakeland FL, of course! Watching
airplanes and enjoying a cold one...and he taunts me via a voice message
no less. My only solace, Oshkosh slightly more than three months from now.
Hmmm, this begs the question as to what MontBlack and the Honeck kids
are up...

Cricri by
The Old Bloke[_4_]
I have some videos of the tiny Cricri aircraft, but all are of the petrol
engine version.
I know some have been fitted with R/C turbines, but can't find a video. I
have tried Google. I have seen some photos.
Any one know of a video?
Regards
Doug

Uncontrolled Engine Compartment Fire Possible for Cessna 172R, 172S, 182T, T182T, 206H, and T206H Models by
Larry Dighera
If I were renting a Cessna 172R, 172S, 182T, T182T, 206H, or T206H
from a FBO, I'd request to see how the FBO's mechanic complied with
the August AD. If no torque test was performed, I'd request that it
be done.

Wings And Prayers
The concept of prayer is not lost on most pilots, but it’s usually
the result of something that happens in the air and not the reason
for being up there in the first place. But 10 pilots from various
states weren’t involved in the usual type of cockpit entreaties...

Beer, "God had told him to crash the airplane," and other odd tales. by
Jim Logajan
Beer makes for some unusual tales - at least that is what I found when I
used that single keyword in a search of the NTSB accident database - though
I expanded the search back to 1-1-1962 which yielded some of the more, um,
interesting tales. 68 records contain the word "beer" - yet no matches...

JFK ATIS: Strange???? by

With four hours to kill at JFK waiting to get back to SMF, I thought I'd
listen to JFK ATIS. The second to last sentence has me somewhat puzzled.

Trip from F70 to L00 Thoughts? by
Mike 'Flyin'8'
I am planning a short hop from F70 to L00 via KSBD at 7500. L00 is 16
miles west of Edwards AFB and just on the hairy edge of the Isabelle
MOA. However, I think I am safe since the MOA is not active on
Saturday, and it look like L00 is under a ring that is clear of the
MOA up to 1500AGL. Other...

Robert Buck now walks along side Bill Kershner as together they watch over

Lowrance 2000C ??? by
Dave[_5_]
I have a couple of questions regarding the 2000C:
1. What are the mounting options? I have never liked yoke mounts.
2. Will it work with a non-Lowrance amplified external antenna (I have
a permanent
unit on top of the fuselage that has worked flawlessly with my
Garmin).
Thanks in advance for any...
