Airport/Hangar Home by
Jeff
I am trying to buy a piece of property that will allow me to have a
3000' (or so) grass runway. We would build a house on the property
that would be our only residence. I have been looking around for some
home plans that incorporate a hangar attached to the home, but have not
had much success. I...

Repairing universal joint by
Ernest Christley
Today was proof that keep parts safely tucked away until needed is a
good idea.
The Dyke Delta has a universal joint halway down the torque tube, and it
uses a big one...a MS20271-B14. One of these puppies will run you
nearly $100 bucks, brand spanking new from the likes of Aircraft...

Instrument Images ? by
Bruce E Butts
Does anyone know where to find insturment images, I know about the
epanelbuilder.com site but either I forgot how to save the images or I
imagined that you could print them full sized. I want to be able to
rearrange the images on the panel mock up in the fuselage.
Thanks.

Fly-in competitions by
Ian Donaldson
G'day
Our small Club is going to have a fly-in soon and we would like to have some
flying competitions.
Would anyone have any ideas as to what we could do?
I have heard of spot landings and limbo, but really don't know how to set
them up.

Rotec Engines by
guynoir
I've started a Yahoo group for people who are interested in the
Rotec Radial Engines.
I've uploaded an "E-Drawing" of the engine to the files section.
With the free viewer available from Solidworks, you can zoom,
rotate, measure and add comments to the model. You can also
export an STL if you want...

Two seats is all you need by
Bret Ludwig
"Although many pilots wouldn't buy a plane with fewer than four seats,
the
dirty little secret is that many if not most of us fly alone a lot. An
Arizona ranch hand has introduced a downright neighborly concept for
putting
like-minded pilots together that not only helps people out, but...

Looking for a sub-100hp engine with long TBO time. by
tffy
This is for a hypothetical ultralight design, so just looking for
suggestions here of where to look at... hopefully a 4-stroke, purchase
price doesn't matter much, certification status doesn't matter either.
Long time before overhaul matters A LOT... so, the longer the better.
Is there anything out...

Rotax 912 Preheaters by
Willard
I have a SLSA on order which uses a Rotax 912 engine. The owner's
manual for this aircraft specifies that the engine should be preheated
when the temp falls below 41 degrees F. I see that both Tanis and
Reiff have engine-intalled preheaters available for the 912. Anyone
have any experience with...

Flying the small block Chevy by
Bret Ludwig
Is there an existing design (besides the Mustang and Spitfire scale
replicas) that would nicely take an iron block SBC with a belt redrive?
I figure that would be very popular with builders with hot rod
backgrounds, especially a two seater like a little T-6/Vibrator/Provost
trainer. True a smaller...

These are the same engines. The TAE 125 is the model of the engine

name of the engine.

New LSA from Ukraine? by
rtmtech
After looking for a reasonably priced aircraft I came across the T-10
from Ukraine. It seems pretty rugged. I wonder how much trouble it
would be to inport and license as LSA since it meets the LSA criterea.
There is a picture at http://www.firmatmm.ua/~en/ENG/94/ . It has a
stainless steel tube...

Harmon Rocket II questions by
Jason Grass
Does anyone here know much about the Harmon Rocket II?
I've been looking at it, and it concerns me in the fact that the
cockpit demensions look a little snug. It has enough room in width,
but the distance between the front and back seat seems too close, as
does the distance of the instrument panel...
