Jeff Morgan
I have a glider purchase pending inspection and a simple A/D compliance item. It's a nice ship, and the seller has been an absolutely outstanding gentlemen to work with.
The glider is about 95% how I would have done things had I bought it new, but there are few small items - one of which is the...

Jonathan St. Cloud
Just wondering how many out there keep their vario's in climb mode while cruising. I have spoken with one pilot that likes is audio while cruising to be the climb vario audio and the STF is just graphical on the dial.
I noticed my flying has evolved, perhaps due to the new airfoils, or maybe I am...

wtb: Blanik L-23 (or Grob 103) by
Dave Springford
Anyone in RAS-land know of a L-23 for sale in the US? Nothing listed on Wings and Wheels, but maybe there is one sitting quietly in the corner of a hangar that could be sold.
Another option would be a Grob 103 - there are a couple on W&W to be pursued, but do you know of any others?
And, finally...

best location for boom mike by
Matt Herron Jr.
Any thoughts on what the best location is for a boom mike in an ASW27? Currently the mount point is right behind my right shoulder, and when I bend it up, the gooseneck is pinched between my arm and the cockpit edge. not comfortable.
Also, do folks like one speaker or two?
This might be a...

Dear Flatlanders,
Last year, I had the privelege of flying in the R4 South contest in New Castle, VA, spanning over the 3rd week of September. I had little to no previous ridge flying experience, and was even cautioned by one top ranked pilot not to fly here. I'm glad I didn't listen. While this...

Terra TPX 720 battery question by
[email protected]
I have an old TPX 720 handheld radio. It was sitting for 20 + years
and the rechargable batteries were shot. They are 1.2 v nicads, 10 of
them. Before I go out and buy more, does anyone know if I can just
put regular aa cells in it to see if it works? The nicads are 12
volts total, and the dry...
