Radio squeal by
Gerrie
I know this subject has come up often in the past and I have checked
back on most the old postings for a cure but still don't seem to be
able to solve the problem.
The aircraft is a Koala (Fisher Products, all wood and fabric). Radio
fitted is a Narco Com 810 with Telex headsets. (I know it's not...

FS: Cessna 140 wheel pants aluminum by
Mark T.
I have a set of Original Cessna 140 aluminum wheel pants, brackets, and
envelope of paper templates with dimensions to make other brackets. Came off
my 1946 Cessna 140. I have since sold the plane and no longer need these
items. These are to be placed in an ebay auction this Sept 11-16th under...

Marker Beacon Antenna - Paging Jim Weir. by
Bart D. Hull
Does the marker beacon antenna HAVE to be the length stated in your manual
or can it be scaled down?
Reason I ask is I don't have the length available in my fuselage without
going over large metallic objects. (Like a oxygen tank or rear tiedown mount.)
Thanks for your support.

The Latest Sport Aviation has a WHAT on the cover? by
Kyle Boatright
A Cirrus? You gotta be kidding me.
I know, this is a quarterly topic for discussion, but I swear, EAA is
becoming AOPA. I guess it pays better or something. When was the last
warbird article in Sport Aviation? OK, how 'bout the last restoration of an
antique by the owner (not by someone who...

Problems with Rapco dry vacuum pumps. by
abripl
Just a warning for those who might consider purchasing Rapco dry vacuum
pumps. Make sure that your engine does not leak oil. If there is any
chance of an oil drip onto the Rapco vacuum pump it may eventually stop
working. The connecting shaft is vented to air. But if some oil drops
on the shaft it...

1 watt and 5 watt LED for Nav lights? by
Bill
To Jim Weir and Group
I am interested in using the new (to me) 1 watt and 5 watt LEDs for
nav lights.
Not having to worry about changing bulbs or the power requirements are
very attractive.
I have seen some posts about leds but would like to tie it all
together.
I know of two sites showing their...

Flying wing vs tailless airplane by
BernadetteTS
What is the difference between a flying wing and a tailless airplane? Is
there a difference? Just wondering after reading the post about the
monarch glider a few weeks ago. Where would an ME-163 be classified.
Does an F-106 or B-58 delta wing count as a tailless airplane?
Thanks
Bernadette

I did know Bill personally and always found him a facinating
character. Every time I did post to rah Bill would always simply reply
" I thought you was dead" I'll really miss him.

Auto conversion cost post by
Richard Riley
Sometime recently (last 6 months or so) there was a post about how
much a well done auto conversion costs. The point was that if you're
doing it right - rebuild with race quality parts, proven PSRU, etc -
that the initial installation isn't significantly less than a zero
timed LyCont. (I think...
