Discus tail ballast leak
Boot is usually the suspect. An hour's work for an experienced techie to
replace. Use non-acidic thick grease like vaseline to lube before putting
it in. Saves you smaller leaks over time. Problem...

Wood glider outdoor storage
Long time ago saw the result of leaving a wooden glider outside in
the weather for considerable time, in covers. Water got into the
airbrakes box damaging spar longerons. Wing folded on take off....

If it is the pins at the pointy end of the wing spars, the answer is that
they cannot be replaced without serious work. The pins are welded onto a
steel fixture that is glassed into the spar stub....

Libelle suitability for beginners
I would not recommend a Standard Libelle for inexperienced pilots
if the launch method is winching. Has a tendency to stall at
relatively high speeds, and viciously if one does not pay attention....

I think the photo shows the back of the TE attachment fittings. I
would say the tubing has come off. Easy fix. Get drawings, drill a
hole in the side of the fin, reattach and repair the hole...

Damage from bird strike?
Have seen two examples in the workshop. Both eagles. One took
out the canopy injuring the pilot. Other split the vertical stabilizer
open over a meter leaving 15K worth of damage.
