I bought a 2T from Ross.

If you have an FSG-71, it is a direct replacement and is a much better radio.

I attempted to update my Oudie 2 to v8.03 yesterday and it seems to have broken it.

It now starts with an error window:

I fly my 2B about 90% aft empty, but often don't add much tail water when ballasted. Often no tail water, especially in wave. Lead and a brass tail wheel helps with that.

I have seen a statistic averaged over many solos.

20 starts + 1 for every year over the age of 20 for aerotow

20 starts + 2 for every year over the age of 20 for winch

RAIM is Receiver Autonomous Integrity Monitoring. It is supported by GBS, GRS, GST etc. $RAIM isn't part of the NMEA 0183 spec, at least at v4.00.
