Have you reviewed the glider's maintenance manual? Have you contacted DG for support? If the problem is electrical you will need the proper instrumentation, which includes a good digital voltmeter and clamp-on dc ammeter:

It looks like the controls for this system are integrated into the DEI, but may be a separate box. The control uses limit switches (or electronic position sensors) to indicate the gear position. Make sure these are operational. I have worked on a DG808 which would not start. The current switch for the starter was an electronic MOSFET contained in a control box. All interlocks were working, so I tested the starter by jumping the power connection (against DG's instructions). This reset whatever was internally preventing the MOSFET from operating, and it began working again. Eventually, the box failed and had to be replaced.
