I just want to clarify:
The plane was not destroyed. For some reason, it got de-registered. It's
only been a paper chase. I'm not trying to minimize it, since I know that
logs are "just paper" but worth gold.
I was just seeing if this had happened to anyone else - having a new a/w
cert issued, and whether that created "obstacles" in the future.
The law says the airworthiness certificate is not in force if
the airplane is not airworthy. And it's not airworthy if it's out of
annual, or has a flat tire, or the logs aren't in order, and so on.
Having the paper certificate guarantees nothing.
