The skytec lights can be used on a 235 or Six with the fiberglass tip tanks.
They get installed in the leading edge of the wing, inboard of the tip. I
have them on my PA-32. They cost me a tad over $1K to install in 1997.

I guess you could always install some of those landing lights that mount
in the leading edges of the wings. It's a shame that 235's can't use the
ones that mount in the wingtips. I'm sure someone must make a kit for the
Cherokees.
