The skytec lights can be used on a 235 or Six with the fiberglass tip
tanks.
They get installed in the leading edge of the wing, inboard of the tip. I
have them on my PA-32. They cost me a tad over $1K to install in 1997.

Any trouble with leakage into the wing structure?

I've got a friend with a Bellanca, which has a similar leading edge landing
light. Water infiltration through the landing light structure is a
potentially major problem area with the Bellanca's wooden wing.

I would suspect the bulbs last considerably longer, so far from the source
of vibration -- true?
