Didn't nobody never tell you about Aircraft Spark Plug Service in Van Nuys? $75
would have gotten you a complete set of overhauled plugs for a 4-banger. The
drill is to send them your old plugs immediately after the annual and for about
$50 a set they will overhaul YOUR plugs and send them back yellow-tagged. You
then put them on the shelf for NEXT year's annual.

I've used this service, after Jim's recommendations. Very fast
turnaround, the suckers look new, and they come sealed in individual
plastic bags, and with a new copper gasket. All for $3.50/plug plus
s&h for the lot, which came to about five bucks as I recall. An
excellent deal.

And three of them missed the starter safety wire? Without pulling the manual, I
can't remember whether the starter bolts have lockwashers or whether they
REQUIRE safety wire. Why do you think that safety wire is required?

In my Skylane, the starter bolts aren't safetied. I don't remember
them having lockwashers, either. I do remember the torque spec for
some odd reason (250 inch/pounds, per the TCM tech on the phone).

And come to think of it, they're not bolts either, they're nuts on
studs. The engine is an O-4700-R.
