I usually stop at West Texas airport. It's a little east of the big
airport in El Paso.
Nice old guy who runs it and the fuel prices are pretty good.
They also have autofuel if you desire it.

Also a WWII bomber converted into a museum.

Not much for resturants or hotels, just a nice place for a quick stop
and fuel.

Actually, I've overnighted there. VERY cheap rental cars and the
motels are close by. Recommend it as a stop.

AUS I don't recommended. Very expensive and not particularly
convenient. Just a bit north is Georgetown (GTU) with approaches, a
choice of long runways, courtesy transportation, and lots of hotels
and restaurants just 15 minutes drive South in Round Rock.
