The FBO's policy insures the FBO, not you. You need a million dollars'
liability, and you should also have hull insurance against damage
caused to the rental plane by you. The FBO's insurer will come after
you, and not just for the deductible.

I paid $575 last year for $1 million / $100,000 liability and $20,000
hull insurance. When I renew, I'll probably remove the $100K limit on
individual liability, since I now carry the occasional passenger, and
I'll probably increase the hull insurance, since the price of Cubs is
going up.
