When I was in China, I tried to find a flying club to do some
flying. The customer I was working for knew of a few places.
One was a GA flying club, but they didn't have any planes
after their last one crashed a few years ago! :-) They had
microlight (ultralight) clubs, but I'm too big for those, so I
declined. The other option was military...this guy had quite
a few friends who were pilots in the airforce. They even said
they'd take me for a ride in one of their jets, but they checked
with their superiors and were told no.
