The shop I use charges $60 for a VFR check, and $180 for an IFR check.
There is more work to the IFR check as I understand it.


You don't need any pitot-static check for VFR. However, even in the
Aeronca (no electrical) we used to have it checked. Good to know if
you're really at 1000 feet.
