Well, to be honest, I've heard similar comments from other "former" pilots.
G. Gordon Liddy likes to blow his horn about being a pilot, but then there
are times that he's discussing the details of flying and I wonder if he's
ever been in a plane before.

Not quite the answer I would have expected any pilot to give... "used to"
have a pilot's license? Does he mean that he's no longer current? Or

there was a time when pilot's actually received "licenses", and it has

expired? Or maybe his certificate was revoked?
