Are you sure that this popping is not the headsets? I have been using ANR
headsets for two years now, having started with Lightspeed 25XLs, then to
the 33Gs, and currently to Bose Xs.

Both the Lightspeed and Bose ANR headsets would occasionally pop, most
times during taxi and takeoff. It seemed to me that the popping was the
ANR circuitry's response to increased engine noise, either just after
startup or on takeoff.

I have to admit that the popping was much more common in the Lightspeed
models than the Bose, though.
