He flies sailplanes as well. I ran across him at Estrella Gliderport
(near Phoenix) a couple of years ago. Quiet and unassuming. We were
both renting gliders and he and I had a very short conversation about
the conditions and what the thermals were doing.
I thought it was pretty cool that he flew.
