Hi all
Just wondering if anyone has any experience on being a pilot in the
northern territory, cape york or WA? Im a rel. low time pilot with 450
hours, (CPL + ME-IFR) who would love a shot at flying for a property
owner or charter co. (182 or 206 i guess). Any info about selection
criteria used or your experience on flying there would be nice to
know.
Cheers

In Canada you either have a lot of luck, or know someone who is
currently or formerly worked for the company you want to work with.
It's extremely hard to find entry level jobs and when you do there's
not much to distinguish your resume from the 50 other's sitting on the
chief pilot's desk. Go where you want to work, show up with your
resume, and do what you can to make a good impression. Otherwise
you're just a piece of paper with 450 hours among lots of other pieces
of paper with similar qualifications.
That said, 450 is pretty decent, the cut off for alot of jobs up here
is 500 TT and that's the biggest hurdle to get over.
