Wonder what he sent?
Last time I was in SA I went down 6000 ft in a 12,000 foot mine. My
escort told me to take what I wanted as it took a ton of rocks to get
one Oz of gold.

I've got a good little story. A coworker of mine decided to beat the
scammer behind these "Nigerian forture" mails at his own game, by
actually replying to the mail and feigning interest. He's had the guy
going for a couple weeks now, asserting that he's very close to giving
him his account #, but just needs to know this or that, etc. He's
created an alternate persona for himself- an elderly immigrant who runs
a "prophylactic repair" business and has serious gastointentinal
trouble. You should see some of the stuff he's written- and gotten a
reply to. It's a riot.
This is getting to be a common internet pastime. I've seen several
websites with teams of under-entertained folks who spend much of their
time pretending to be naive victims for the scams. I recall reading
one person's log of emails between himself and a gold mine scammer in
Africa. He was so convincing that he actually persuaded the con man
to send him an ore sample worth about $125. It was nice to see a
conner get conned for a change.
