Is Vern Banta still flying out there? He had a Luscombe 8F I got my
tailwheel training in, and later boiught a 170B. He was chief
instructor for both Longmont and Boulder (maybe his wife was Cheif,
but he instructed there).

He was a good guy, and I was thinking about him recently while tooling
around in a Cub.
