I bought one a while back from U.S. Wings, it actually has added
side-entry handwarmer pockets. A friend of mine, who is a Naval Aviator,
told me me likes mine better than the original because of that. With or
without, that is one kick-ass jacket!

U.S. Wings makes an excellent jacket. If you want historical
accuracy, they sell the Navy G-1 without side pockets or the Coast
guard version with pockets. Personally, I think the side pockets are
great.
