As bizarre as it sounds two teenagers in Gettysburg PA were arrested
Friday for risking a catastrophe and reckless endangerment for dropping
eggs on their high school. The plane belonged to his father and the
teenager is unlicensed.

I can almost remember what it was like to be a teenager and think that
life goes on forever.

We had a not-too-clever pilot who saved a couple of local teens from a
similar fate. They were going to drop leaflets on the local high school
football game one evening using Dad's airplane. They made the leaflets,
went to the airport, and were preparing to make the flight. A local pilot
wised up to what they were doing (and the fact that the pilot-kid had 10 or
so hours total time, none at night) and said "If you're gonna drop leaflets,
let me fly the plane so nobody gets hurt"...

So they did. Of course, the FAA was notified and put the pieces together
and suspended the license of the not-so-smart good samaritan. Knowing him
and his flying antics, his leaflet pass was probably on knife edge,
splitting both goalposts...
