Any idea what is going on? Is it the economy and people aren't spending
on
luxuries, or is it because there are less foreign student pilots, or both?
Bite your tongue,,, flying is essential to life and well-being,,, not a
luxury! :0)
I'm sure it could be a little of all those things. Gas prices soaring sure
didn't help things as well as the TSA 'hoops' foreign students have to jump
through. However, Amelia's is probably closing because Robin and Marici
have a family and other life to live and running Amelia's takes a lot of
their time and energy. Hardly a day will go by at their FBO when I see one
of them running back and forth to do the things that need to be done to keep
a business running.
Just a guess. Otherwise the operation itself seems to be constantly busy
with students.
