Hi Warren,
Well, I have always grabbed the edge of the normal 2D panel and dragged it
in to its correct size. You then have to drag the scenery down to fit the
screen. If you click on the top of the panel you can place it wherever you
like. You get a great view this way. However, with the Parhelia and three
screens I prefer to use the Virtual cockpit. Hit the minus key to set it
further out. There is a great deal you can do with the keys and mouse to set
your cockpits exactly how you like them. Then save the flight and it will
always stay like that? If you haven't tried this trick then I recommend it
highly. There is no need to go re-designing any panels at all.

You're quite right - this is exactly the way I've been using it for
years. Where there's a virtual panel (as in the FS default aircraft)
there's no problem. However when one is trying an aircraft without a VC
I dislike looking at bits of panels strewn about the screen.

The other thing I dislike is when you have a nice setup you go to amend,
say, the flight number and the panel resets itself to a wide version. I
have been experimenting with ways to cure this and the best way I've
found is to make a new panel.

To give you a demo of my panels I'll put them up on a website over the
weekend and give you the URL.

As a matter of interest I wonder how many pilots have the Parhelia - I
know of only a few of which only yourself and Pete Dowson are the ones
with whom I have been in touch.
