What you need here is a raffle. Everybody buys a ticket at $10.
Don safety glasses and hardhats, and stand around the implement
in a darkened room. Attach battery. Observe smoke and flames.
Pull raffle ticket from a hat and give the winner $30.
Take the remaining proceeds and buy a decent vario from ILEC.

Best Regards, Dave

PS: If no smoke and flames, not to worry, it won't work anyway,
buy a decent vario from ILEC.

PPS: I got the idea from Poindexter.

PPPS: My desk used to say "Property of DARPA", but that's
another story...

I just got one of these antique varios from New Zealand, no
less! Don't worry, I got an excellent price

It looks like there are only four connections to hook
up. "A" is probably ram air. "S" is probably static.
Then there are two power wires, unmarked (uh oh).

The tape on the wires says "12 volt power supply"
but no idea which is + or ground.

There's an empty instrument hole in the rear of the Blanik and
it's just BEGGING for an audio vario...
Is the top wire "+" or ground? Anybody ever had one of these?
