Indeed. The simple truth that there is only one slip has been
obfuscated in every training publication in English since the
Wright Brothers.
It is the only maneuver in all of flight training in which the
reason for doing the maneuver is presented as part of the
maneuver itself.
It is a prime source of confusion for students, and any flight
instructor who presents slips as more than one maneuver should
be embarrassed.
