When I was shopping around for a new batch of HP-18
canopies, Mecaplex was actually one of the lower bidders.
The major reason I didn't place with them was that
transoceanic shipping and import costs would have pushed
the price up a bunch. These days I source canopies
from a plastics firm in L.A.

I'd say that if Mecaplex has the tooling for your canopy,
you're probably better off just ordering it from them.
At least you can be fairly certain that it will fit.
