You are wrong! Not all work fine. We have tested several. Some work with
some loggers others do not. We have tested several adapters with
Camridge, EW, Volkslogger and LX, no one worked with all logges.

This is a real problem.

To me the "PDA solution" is the best solution.

All new notebooks have USB ports, that replace the serial ports. To connect
an old serial cable, you need an usb-to-serial adapter. These adapters are
to be found in electronic shops, and on eBay in the 10-20 $ range (at least
in europe). They work fine.
