Surely, you jest.

It has amazed me how many power pilots
would not give our sailplane club ships a try.
Every excuse in the book has been used to beg off.

IMO, many power jockeys secretly fear embarrassment or worse,
when no engine is available to mask possible shortcomings of
basic skills and judgment required for true mastery of flight.
