I made a PIREP last week in rec.aviation.marketplace about those
cheap
"feather lite" headsets on ebay. I liked 'em so much I bought a
second one.
They're cheap and work well.

I'd recommend looking for some good used headsets for occasional use. I
bought
two pair of "kid size" headsets on eBay a few years ago. I forget the
brand,
but you'd recognize it. I paid $65 or so for both, and they do the job
just
fine.
